On April 16, 2023, the Silver Queen ship carried second batch of1,879 exported VinFast VF8 cars left MPC Port (Hai Phong, Vietnam) to North America. Expectedly, after more than 20 days of travel, the ship will dock at Benicia port (California, USA) to load 1,098 vehicles down the US market and will continue to transport the remaining 781 vehicles to Canada.
This is the second batch of VF8 cars with the Eco and Plus versions having higher EPA* travel distance parameters than the first batch of the City Edition version delivered to the US.
The VF8 Eco version is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 260kW, maximum torque of 500Nm, while the VF8 Plus version is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 300kW, extreme torque of 620Nm. In addition, the car is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with a series of advanced features that will be added and updated regularly such as highway driving assistance, automatic lane change, intelligent parking assistance, summon smart cars, support parking remotely…
Set of intelligent entertainment and utility applications (Smart Services) with features integrated step-by-step such as controlling and interacting with the vehicle through voice; remote vehicle management via VinFast application; Online shopping, playing video games on the car screen in sync with the phone, etc. will also bring an impressive and classy experience to users.
As planned, VinFast will deliver these models to US customers in May, after completing import procedures and licenses and certifications to sell in the US market, and to Canadian customers in June. For the European market, the first batch of VF8 cars is expected to be exported by VinFast in mid-July 2023 with the quantity of about 700 vehicles.
In parallel with the production and transportation of vehicles to international markets, VinFast is also continuously expanding its global business network. Currently, outside of Vietnam market, VinFast has opened more than 30 stores and service workshops in the US, Canada, Germany, France and the Netherlands, ready for the business of smart electric vehicles exported from Vietnam.
In the domestic market, VinFast has officially handed over the VF9 model to customers from March 27, 2023. It is expected that in April 2023, VinFast will continue to hand over the VF5 Plus model. On a global scale, VinFast will also soon launch two models VF6 and VF7, and plan to export the VF9 model to hand over to customers who have pre-ordered.
